Zero Flags Commonwealth is a special presentation of the Zero Flags Project created for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Presented in partnership with LEAP Sports Scotland as part of Pride House Glasgow 2026, the exhibition brings the internationally recognised Zero Flags Project to Scotland for the first time, inviting visitors to reflect on the relationship between human rights and the continuing impact of laws that criminalise consensual same-sex relationships.
Located in Candleriggs, in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City, the exhibition forms part of Pride House Glasgow 2026, a programme celebrating LGBTIQ+ inclusion in sport while creating space for learning, dialogue and discussion around equality and human rights.
The Commonwealth edition was developed in response to community consultation carried out by LEAP Sports during the planning of Pride House Glasgow 2026. Participants expressed a strong desire for Pride House not only to focus on inclusion in sport, but also to explore the human rights issues that continue to affect LGBTIQ+ communities across the Commonwealth.
Alongside the exhibition, visitors are invited to explore the historical relationship between the British Empire, colonial criminal laws and their continuing impact across many Commonwealth countries today, while also recognising the significant progress being achieved through advocacy, legal reform and community activism.
The exhibition reflects Pride House Glasgow’s commitment to using the visibility of the Commonwealth Games as an opportunity to encourage understanding, conversation and reflection.
