The Pride Walk is the political start of the annual Pride Amsterdam. With a manifestation at the Homomonument and an activistic march to the Vondelpark, the 9-day Pride Amsterdam is officially opened.
Since 2016, the flags of the countries where homosexuality is punishable by law have been included in the Pride Walk Amsterdam.
It is an important, silent and serious part of the Pride Walk by which we express our solidarity with all those people living in countries where it is illegal to be gay. We are marching for those who can not join us.
